We are excited to welcome you back to Sunnyside Dental Care.
Drs. Koning and Rao and the entire Sunnyside Dental team appreciate your continued support and understanding as we continue to move through this challenging time. In consideration of the ongoing pandemic we have instituted additional guidelines and protocols to ensure your safety and that of our team.
Upon your return to Sunnyside Dental you will experience a few changes. Most of the changes are due to social distancing and hygiene, which you are most likely familiar with from any recent shopping you have done.
Below is a list of some of the enhanced precautions we are taking to protect you and our team.
- We have a “no waiting room” policy in effect during this Phase. Visitors to the clinic are strictly “by appointment only”.
- You will be contacted 48-72 hours prior to your appointment via phone, text or email and asked a set of pre-appointment instructions and health-related questions. It is required that we complete this questionnaire prior to your appointment. We will have to reschedule your appointment if we are unable to complete this step.
- There will be new arrival procedures to guide you from your car or “outside the office” zone directly to treatment rooms to eliminate contacting surfaces and other patients.
- You will be asked the above screening questions again on your arrival to your appointment.
- All non-essential companions will be asked to remain outside of the clinic during the appointment. This includes, friends, spouses, drivers, parents, and other children.
- We will have longer appointment times for you to prepare and complete all appointment tasks and duties in the safest and most comprehensive manner.
- We are working to create early morning appointments dedicated to our most vulnerable patients including seniors and those with compromised immune systems.
As we have been open for emergency patients since the emergency began, we are already familiar with the necessary new safety protocols. We expect that next week we will start to see high priority restorative and Invisalign patients. Hygiene (Cleanings) are currently not being scheduled for at least 2 more weeks, so that we can use the time to ensure we have a consistent and safe workflow. We will resume hygiene appointments soon.
We ask that you treat your reserved dental appointment with the highest level of respect. Answer the screening questions honestly. Please arrive on time for your appointment.
We may not be able to see you if you are late. If you miss your appointment it may be quite some time before we can get you back in.
We are committed to maintaining our high standard of dental health and safety under these new circumstances and appreciate your confidence in us.
